Training today was quite funny. Not training exactly, but debrief. I mean how can rowing for one minute, rest 40 seconds, row 2 minutes, rest 40 seconds, row 3 minutes, rest 40 seconds, row 4 minutes, rest 5 minutes (repeat 4 times), be funny?
Anyway, Bill was debriefing us and he was talking to us about our 2.4 timings. Jeffrey told him that only 2 girls ran below 12 minutes and Bill wanted to guess. And so he guessed Kai Yan and Geyi. Nope, wrong. Joanne? Wrong. And now, *drumroll please* , he guessed Charmaine! Well, well. Then he continued on how he knew it was Charmaine. He said, very seriously may I add, "The power of love is very great." Hmm, words of great wisdom.
Then he went on briefing us on what we were going to do during the chalet, coming tuesday and wednesday. We're going dragon boating!!! YAY!! Joanne, going to row with you again! But there was a downside. Not to dragon boating though. He said we were to prepare dinner. DINNER! And here in Singapore we're thinking that the age of gender discrimination and stereotypes is over. To that, Rui Yan did a superb rendition of being suitably appalled. She asked "why!" and Bill said that the guys would be doing something else, which is a surprise, that would make us prefer cooking. Joanne, Kai Yan, Melodie and I, on 157 back home, discussed the possibilities and came out with none. Unless they're going to train that is.
That's about all for today. Stay tuned for updates on "Make it FLY". And don't miss me. I'll only be away for 2 days. HAHA. Take care!
